Večina pogrešanih se je udeležila raznoraznih trekingov, ki so v Himalaji vedno bolj priljubljena turistična dejavnost. Po poročanju Nepalske tiskovne agencije ter nepalske planinske zveze smrtno ponesrečeni prihajajo iz Nepala (9), Izraela (4), Kanade (4), Poljske (3), Vietnama (1) in Indije (1). Reševalcem je k sreči uspelo rešiti 19 oseb, ki so jih zasuli plazovi, tri od njih, ki so ostali nepoškodovani so namestili v Muktinathu, ostale pa so odpeljali v nadaljno oskrbo v Jomsom.
Helikopterskim ekipam komercialnih družb Air Manang in Shree Airlines je z območja baznega tabora pod Daulaghirijem uspelo še pravočasno rešiti 8 oseb, ki so bile ujete v območju večih plazov, kar pa žal ne moremo trditi za peterico pogrešanih (2 slovaška alpinista ter tri domačine).

Snow Avalanche updates (Based on National News Agency)
Heavy snowfall occurred in high Himalaya region due to the effect of Hudhud cyclone entered Nepal from Indian region from early Monday morning. After two days of continuous snowfall in High Himalayan region in Manang and Mustang district at least 24 people were buried to death. Among these 24 people 16 died bodies (9 Nepalese, 3 Israelis, 3 Polish and 1 Vietnamese) were found at Mustang district and 8 ( 2 Poland, 1 Israeli, 4 Canadian and 1 Indian) at Manang district. While 3 Canadian and 1 Nepalese were rescued alive from Fu VDC of Manang district.
Nineteen trekkers trapped in avalanche were rescued from the area. Among them 3 people who are not injured are kept in Muktinath and rest are taken to Jomsom.
In an avalanche at Dhaulagiri Base Camp at Mudi VDC 5 (2 Slovakians and 3 Nepalese) person are missing. Missing person has been identified as Slovakians John Matik and Vladimir Swansar and Nepalese Bhoj Kumar Rai of Okhaldhunga, Dorje Sherpa and Gopal Rai of Solukhumbu. Air Manang and Shree Airlines' helicopters rescued eight person trapped in the avalanche.
